Commissioned by The Tetley, Leeds
John Thatcher and I won the commission to fit the Learning Studio of The Tetley in Leeds. The Tetley is a new centre for contemporary art and learning in the stunning art-deco headquarters of the former Tetley brewery in Leeds.
Our aim was to provide a creative and stimulating environment which is also a comfortable and practical place in which to hold a workshop for up to 30 people. Through reflecting on The Tetley's artistic programme, we designed furniture that looks both contemporary and somewhat like abstract sculpture.
